Editor’s Note: January 2025 brings with it another special issue, as it marks the launch of our brand new genre: “Open, Anything Goes,” which replaces the “Sci-Fi/Fantasy” genre and will feature book reviews, interviews, poetry, and experimental works. Our goal in doing this is to push and expand the boundaries of our magazine to include more diverse work and voices and we’re thrilled to feature more work beyond just the fiction and nonfiction genres. So, to kick off this brand new category, we bring you Catherine Parnell’s review of the chapbook “My Women,” which brings to light the experiences of women in war-torn Ukraine. We’re so excited to share it with you and we hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we did.
Happy reading,
Mahdis Marzooghian, Editor-in-Chief
