About the Authors
Washington Square Arch (Cover Art): Howard Skrill is an artist/educator living with his wife and one adult son in Brooklyn, NY. Skrill's stand-alone images from the Anna Pierrepont Series and the works incorporated into pictorial essays have been published and exhibited worldwide.
In the Big Woods: Erin Swan's work has been published in various literary journals, including CALYX: A Journal of Art and Literature by Women, Bodega Magazine, The Portland Review, and The Stockholm Review of Literature. She holds an MFA in fiction from the New School, and has attended both the Tin House Summer Writer’s Workshop and the Sewanee Writers’ Conference. In her working life, Swan has spent time in publishing, taught English in Southeast Asia, and is currently teaching literature and writing in a New York City public high school.
