wingspan of Cooper’s hawk

sun slips from windowsills

down Michigan Street

 

teriyaki

payday loans

hubcaps

and wild dill

 

songs of siphoned gas

meatloaf stretched with saltine crumbs

tongues still burnt from last night’s soup
