About the Authors
Praying Mantid.2 (Cover Photo): John Sandkuhler seeks to capture his subjects from perspectives less-traveled. His preferred baits are shadow, texture, and light, with a macro lens as his favorite snare. Any striking colors are purely incidental and a bonus to this color blind, farsighted novice’s shots. For two decades prior to this very important work, he was a teacher. John is a frequent contributor to Five on the Fifth.
