About the Authors

Greetings And Salutations From A Defiled Periodic Table (Cover Art): Brett Stout is a 40-year-old artist and writer. He is a high school dropout and former construction worker turned college graduate and paramedic. He creates mostly controversial work usually while breathing toxic paint fumes from a small cramped apartment known as “The Nerd Lab” in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. His work has appeared in a vast range of diverse media, from international indie zines like Litro Magazine UK to Brown University. He is tired of talking about himself at this point and prefers that his artwork speak for itself.

Water Can't Hurt You: Jake Kinzie is a website designer who finds writing to be the ultimate form of self-expression. He loves writing small, tightly worded stories and essays that echo his life experiences. He has previously been published in Word Riot, Ascent Aspirations, Flash Fiction Magazine, and Literally Stories.

Baby on Board: Rachael Biggs is a ghostwriter and author whose memoir, "Yearning for Nothings and Nobodies" was published in 2012. She studied creative writing at Langara College and UCLA and holds a screen writing diploma from Vancouver Film School. Her short fiction has appeared in The Dalhousie Review, Horror Sleaze Trash, and Charge Magazine. Tweet her @rachael_biggs_author.

Fluffernutter: Margaret Karmazin’s credits include stories published in literary and national magazines, including Rosebud, Chrysalis Reader, North Atlantic Review, Mobius, Confrontation, Pennsylvania Review, The Speculative Edge, and Another Realm. Her stories in The MacGuffin, Eureka Literary Magazine, Licking River Review, and Mobius were nominated for Pushcart awards. She has stories included in several anthologies, has published a YA novel, "Replacing Fiona," a children’s book, "Flick-Flick & Dreamer," and a collection of short stories, "Risk."

The Chocolate Drop: Pamela Stutch received her MFA from the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast MFA program. One of her stories will appear in the upcoming issue of Typehouse Literary Magazine. She is employed as an attorney.

Things in Boxes: Erin Strubbe is a writer of speculative fiction and magical realism from Southern California. Most recently, she has worked as a travel blogger and writer-in-residence for an art festival in Yilan County, Taiwan. Her fiction has been featured in Red Wheelbarrow and The Walrus.
