Changes (Cover Photo): An artist by trade, traveler by luck. Hernando likes to explore both the mundane and the normal to find the beauty and joy in the things often overlooked or seldom seen. In his travels, Hernando likes to find landscapes and views that express life in its natural form amidst society's changing pace.
Welfare Check: Cody Shrum is a second-year MFA candidate studying fiction at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Cody’s poetry has appeared in such journals as Rust + Moth, Kansas Time + Place, and velvet-tail, as well as the anthology, Kansas Time + Place: An Anthology of Heartland Poetry. He lives in Kansas City, Kansas with his wife Kylee and their two dogs, Zeus and Zoey.
Death Notices: Marlene Olin was born in Brooklyn, raised in Miami, and educated at the University of Michigan. Her short stories have been featured or are forthcoming in publications such as The Massachusetts Review, Upstreet Magazine, Arts and Letters, Eclectica, and The American Literary Review. She is the winner of the 2015 Rick DeMarinis Short Fiction Award, the 2018 So To Speak Fiction Prize, and a nominee for both the Pushcart and the Best of the Net prizes.
