About the Authors

Magpie Tales (Cover Art): Neleisha Weerasinghe is a self-taught artist from Sri Lanka. She specializes in contemporary landscapes & animal art. Nature, spirituality, and everyday simple things that are sometimes taken for granted have a big influence on her paintings. Weerasinghe's work is often described as being “aesthetically beautiful and expressive".

The Apartment: Marie Baleo is a French writer born in 1990. She is a contributing writer for Panorama: The Journal of Intelligent Travel. Her work has appeared in Litro Magazine, Alternet, and Dagens Naeringsliv (Norway).

The Shape of Rain: Jane-Rebecca Cannarella is the editor of HOOT Review, a genre editor at Lunch Ticket, a cat lady, a contributing writer at SSG music, and a candy enthusiast. She received her BA and M.Ed from Arcadia University, attended Goldsmiths: University of London, Sarah Lawrence College, and is an MFA candidate at Antioch University. When not poorly playing the piano, she chronicles the many ways that she embarrasses herself at the website www.youlifeisnotsogreat.com. She occasionally drinks wine out of a mug that has a smug poodle on it and she's not wonderful at writing in the third person.

Trickle: Josh Malacki lives in Pittsburgh, PA, and received a BA in English from Robert Morris University. His poetry appeared in Shot Glass Journal in early 2017, and he is currently co-writing a middle-grade novel.

Abstract and Modernist: Hannah Kludy is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University where she earned her BA in Creative Writing and Publishing. She's had work published in the Northwest Missourian, Medium Weight Forks, The Sucarnochee Review, The Bitchin’ Kitsch, Broad Magazine, The Red Mud Review, Progenitor, and Unlikely Stories. Kludy has also won the 2016 fiction contest for Cardinal Sins Journal.

This is How You Hide It: Chloe Seim has been honored with the 2017 Langston Hughes Creative Award in Fiction and was selected as runner-up for the 2015 Lake Prize in Fiction. Her work has appeared in Midwestern Gothic and is forthcoming in The New Engagement.
