About the Authors

Mark Twaynescape (Cover Art): Michael Chaney has been published in Michigan Quarterly Review, Fourth Genre, Los Angeles Review, Minnesota Review, and Prairie Schooner. He lives in Vermont.

The Accompanist: Gershon Ben-Avraham lives and writes in Be’er Sheva, Israel. His short stories have appeared in both online and print journals, including the 'Broad River Review,' 'Jewish Fiction.net,' and the 'Big Muddy.' His short story, “Yoineh Bodek” is planned for publication in the spring of 2018 by 'Image: Art, Faith, Mystery.'

First Response: Adam Michael Nicks is a Pushcart Prize nominated writer and the recipient of the 2017 Leonard Trawick Award. He is currently finishing up his MFA and his work has appeared in Typehouse-Ink and ReCap.

The Garden Party: Judith Zimmer is the author of several nonfiction books, has written articles for the New York Times, Psychology Today, and Vogue, among others, and is currently the communications director at a New York City nonprofit. Her other calling is writing fiction. Her first short story appeared in Lilith magazine last year. She is working on a collection of short stories based on the characters in “The Garden Party.”

Patio Furniture: Alisha Mughal's work has appeared most recently in Queen Mob's Teahouse and The Fem. She has a BA in Philosophy from the University of Toronto and currently resides in Ontario, Canada. She was Born in Pakistan.
