About the Authors

Comfort (Cover Photo): Fabrice Poussin teaches French and English at Shorter University. Author of novels and poetry, his work has appeared in Kestrel, Symposium, The Chimes, and dozens of other magazines. His photography has been published in The Front Porch Review, The San Pedro River Review and more than 250 other publications.

Leaving Happens Twice: Kaely Horton is a second-year MFA candidate at the University of New Hampshire and the fiction editor for Barnstorm Journal. Her work is forthcoming in Smokelong Quarterly. She lives in Dover, New Hampshire.

Stone Birds: Tamzin Mitchell is a proofreader and editor currently based in Toronto. She holds an MFA from the University of New Hampshire, and her work has appeared in The Vignette Review.

Number 56: A retired public school attorney, Nancy Bourne's short stories have been published in Upstreet, The South Carolina Review, Summerset Review, Carolina Quarterly, Quiddity, Forge, Persimmon Tree, The MacGuffin, Thin Air, Bluestem Magazine, The Long Story, Shadowgraph, and Steel Toe Review. Her work has also been nominated for the Pushcart Prize.

Veal: Paul Riker's work has been featured in Crack the Spine, Drunk Monkeys, and elsewhere. He graduated from Northwestern University with a BA in Creative Writing, and currently lives in Chicago.

Opening Up My World: Cathy Beaudoin is a retired business executive and academic. Her academic work has been published in The Journal of Business Ethics, Behavioral Research in Accounting and Issues in Accounting Education.
